Patch Notes
A special thanks to all testers that have helped us over the past few months as we progressed through our DirectX 11 implementation. This brings many new capabilities, fixes a number of visual glitches and bugs, and we're releasing a range of new options available from the Options > Advanced tab (you really do need to experience it in-game directly - an image with compression really doesn't do it any justice!). This also brings large performance improvements for most areas of the game, and we will continue working on this after its release.
We will be making DirectX 11 the default renderer in the next update and remove DirectX 9 as an option, pending any issues that are flagged.
- Added a new DX11 renderer, giving players the option to use DirectX 11 for improved performance and modern graphics features.
- Added the following new Advanced options to the Game Options window:
- Graphics API
- Ambient Occlusion
- Anisotropic Filtering
- CAS Sharpening
- Cel Shading
- Cel Shading Width
- FPS Cap
- Particle Quality
- Shadow Quality
- Water Quality
- Added "Show My Nameplate" option to the Interface category:
- This option controls whether the text and icons above your character's head are visible.
- [Arua] Added "PvP Tournament" event:
- When this event is enabled, players can create characters specially for a PvP tournament.
- These Level 1 characters are transported to the Tournament Training Arena, where they are trained and given appropriate equipment.
- Once the tournament ends, all tournament characters are deleted.
- [Classic] Added random bonus stats to most Union items when purchased from Union Shops:
- A small number of items are excluded and cannot receive bonus stats, such as the Mask of Lies.
- The possible stat range is lower than the Arua server, meaning higher-tier stats cannot be obtained.
- [Classic] Added Xita Refuge to the Classic Armory.
- Added new items to the Item Mall.
- [Arua] Edited the Obliteration Field map so defeated players respawn after 60 seconds.
- Edited the available and completed quest indicators to always be visible on the map without needing to be near the NPC.
- Edited NPCs to always be displayed on the mini-map, even if their area has not yet been loaded on your client.
- [Arua] Edited the Luna episode quests involving the coloured crystals:
- During these quests, players now have a much higher chance of spawning crystals by defeating monsters at the locations marked on the map.
- Crystals spawned quicker by these quests will only give the required quest items and don't drop any items from their normal drop tables.
- Edited the Game Options window so that you have to click Apply after selecting a new resolution, rather than it being instantly applied.
- Edited the Discord Chat window so that the stats and members list are instantly sent when joining rather than when they were next updated.
- Edited the Audio volume sliders to allow precise adjustment across the full 0-100% range.
- Edited the Anti-Aliasing option to offer multiple quality levels.
- Edited how the quest indicators look in the NPC conversation window.
- Edited the appearance of the Bandana of Iguje item so it is visually distinct from the Trendy Bandana item.
- Edited the appearance of the Fancy Sky item so it is visually distinct from the Fancy Blue item.
- Edited the UI for changing the crafting amount.
- Edited the name and description of the "No Potions" duel rule to clarify how it works:
- With the rule enabled, HP and MP aren't restored by skills or potions.
- Fixed a bug where the empty slot icon had its position incorrect for a few windows.
- Fixed a bug where a clan mark on the Clan window had its position incorrectly set.
- Fixed a bug where items in the Inventory didn't have their positions saved correctly.

- [Arua] Fixed the Absolve skill removing debuffs from an enemy target.
- [Arua] Fixed flickering text on the side of the Bookstore Vending Shop skin.
- Fixed "Skin of Steel" and "The Arumics' Request" quests not displaying monster indicators on the map.
- Fixed an issue with the Snowflake Wand that could cause damage to be slightly delayed sometimes.
- Fixed particle effects not rendering in the Item Preview window.
- [Arua] Fixed being able to use up your available Birthstone reset by selecting your current Birthstone.
- [Arua] Fixed a bug where players could get kicked out of the Tombs of Sorrows dungeon whilst Tondro was still alive.
- Fixed the Monster Large HP Bar remaining visible after self-targeting.
- Fixed the icons of Reborn Level 37 and above not displaying their level number.
- Fixed the chat window being automatically focused when entering the game with the "Enter Chat Mode" option.
- [Arua] Fixed a bug where changing game options inside the Giza pyramid could cause the sandstorm to appear inside.
- [Arua] Moved the position of gems in the Draconic Spike Bow.
- Moved the effect options to the new Advanced category.
- Moved the "UI Scale" option to the Interface category.
- Polished the Help Guide by adding section headers and editing the information displayed on most pages.
- Polished several quest NPC conversations.
- Reduced the size of the Help Guide window.
- Renamed the "Inventory Weight" attribute to "Max Weight".
- [Arua] Renamed the Level 210 armor sets to follow similar naming convention used by the other sets.
