Classic:
A special thanks to those who helped us test some significant changes in the game through June and July which have been shown to provide significant FPS improvements to the game. Just a friendly reminder that we currently cap FPS to your monitors refresh rate - so if you're running 60Hz and already get 60 FPS, you will not see any further boosts beyond it.
A further special thanks for Justin's contribution to changes [and upcoming changes] to Classic.
There were a couple of edge cases identified after the release of this update which were not identified during its development - laptop users generally saw higher-than-normal resource usage in the game, leading to freezes, slow downs and/or frequent crashes. We apologise for this - we are always very thorough in our testing, but it is impossible and an unrealistic expectation for us to be able to test dozens of hardware configurations given we have players still running on hardware from 2007. Those who helped us test did not experience any issues beyond the typical bugs and nuances which were resolved before release. Once we identified the root cause, the fix was rolled out and we have not seen any issues since - so thank you to those who were patient whilst we investigated it!
- Added a new option to show/hide Buff effects on players and monsters:
- This was requested by a player and gave them a small performance boost with it disabled.
- This option will not instantly turn buff effects on/off.
- Added new pets:
- Origin Seeker Pet
- Camprohos Pet
- Ulverick Pet
- Added a new 'minimal' option for the Party member list.
- Added new Video window modes:
- Fullscreen (Borderless)
- Window (Borderless)
- Changing Aura and Swift Aura will now be returned to a player after Reborn.
- Refactored a number of areas within the game which have provided large FPS boosts for various scenarios.
- Edited Sea of Dawn:
- Added additional checks around the map for Lens of Dawn item
- PAT driving has been blocked
- Ores will no longer be classified as a valid target when using AoE skills.
- Updated the display of the party members list.
Classic:
- Added new timed options for the Auto Pick-Up Accessory
- Added Dual Rapier Backshield and Crystal Backshield to the craft tables.
- Updated the item stats of the:
- Dual Rapier Backshield
- Crystal Backshield
- Minotaurous Backshield
- Updated the drop tables for the:
- Grandmaster Goblin
- Junon's Goblin King
- Behemoth
